Samuel was involved with the growth of baseball in the Bahamas for over 30 years. He served in most parts of the baseball administration and got elected as President in 2016. Samuel hopes to see all baseball factions in the country working together to better the youth in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
Theodore R. Sweeting was elected to his first executive position as the Secretary-General of the Bahamas Baseball Federation in February 2003 and was elected president of the federation in 2016. He led the effort for the amalgamation of the Bahamas Baseball Federation and Bahamas Baseball Association in 2017. In 2020, he was elected to the office of the BBA Secretary-General.
Theodore has been instrumental in the revitalization of “242 Baseball,” working with a dedicated team rebuilding the sport through a strong youth baseball program since 2001.
Sweeting is a graduate of St. Augustine University where he was a 4-year starter in baseball; served as Team Captain and winning Most Outstanding Athletic and All-Conference awards on the Falcons Baseball Team. He has represented the Bahamas on numerous National Baseball Teams prior to retiring from active play and transitioning to leadership on baseball executive boards.
Spent the past 27 years in sports coaching, youth development, and administration. Served as the 2nd vice president and tournament director for the now-defunct Bahamas Baseball Federation. He’s former Secretary-General of the Bahamas Baseball Association.
Currently serves as 1st vice president and tournament director of the Bahamas Baseball Association and director of the Junior Baseball League of Nassau (JBLN).
Joseph was the Legacy Baseball League Vice President from 2016 to 2021. He joined the Bahamas Baseball Federation (BBF) in 2018 as the 4th vice president and was re-elected to a second term as 4th Vice President in 2020. Joseph was also elected 2nd Vice President of the BBA 2020.
As Bahamas Baseball Association’s 3rd vice president, CJ is responsible for Family Island Development throughout the Bahama Islands. He’s Freedom Farm Baseball League commissioner. He started the first 3/4-year-old division in 2020 called Rookie T-ball. Usually, T-ball starts at age 5 with some big 4-year-olds. Kids are now being introduced to baseball earlier in the Bahamas.
Kenny is BBA treasurer. Born May 18, 1965, Kenny is FedEx Express Senior Manager who has been a baseball Coach for over 20 years. He has coached at Freedom Farm Baseball League and Junior Baseball League of Nassau (JBLN) for over 12 years.
Sonia has been a baseball coach since 2009 and served on the Legacy Baseball & Softball Association in various positions from 2010. Now holds the position of the association’s President.
Married to Dillon Knowles and the mother of three children. Presently employed at Star General Health & Life Insurance Agents & Broker Ltd. as the Business Development Manager.
